Week 10- Harrow League- 07-12-2014

Match: Celtic A- BPR Tigers=1-9(4 London B,2 Reece J,Ruben M,James P,Marley S)

This week we converted most chances we created, ....finally!
The Tigers battled well against a solid and very physical side, showing their technique and ability.

Week 9-Harrow League- 30-11-2014

Match: BPR Tigers v TFA Totteridge Lions=2-2(Alex A,London B)

One of the best match I have seen so far, well played by both teams.
TFA Totteridge is a great team with some outstanding individuals,plus the best Goalie I have seen this year, always dangerous on the counter attack;

The BPR Tigers played nice passing football  creating lots of chances, but as usual too many easy ones squandered ;
Some of our kids  need to improve defensively and start to win some tackles.

Week 8- Harrow League- 20-12-2014

Match: London Athletic A- BPR Tigers=0-5 ( Jake W,Reece J,3 London B)

On a sunny but cold day we played the other postponed match in Hendon, heavy pitch but playable , the Tigers started a bit slow, but got better trough the game putting together some great passings
 and dangerous situations, we still squander too many incredible chances, nonetheless we scored 5 times, LA has got some very good individuals and a solid unit, they created some good and clear chances as well.
Well done to all the boys for a great Phase 1, they played passing football in every match!

Sunday, 16 November 2014

Week 7 -Harrow League-16-11-2014

Match: BPR Tigers- Brook House A= 7-2( 3 Reece J, Alex A,Rohan P,2 George H)

A good match played  well by both teams, the Tigers welcomed back Rohan P, after 2 matches  absence(we did miss him at the back and  as all around player)some great passing and moves and executing more of the chances we created, great usual fighting spirit!
Brook House A has a got a great bunch of kids, lots of skill ,they play beautiful passing football and create a quite a good number of chances, they play fair and square, a pleasure to play against, certainly a team to watch out in future.

Week 6- Harrow League- 09-11-2014

Match: FC Real A- BPR Tigers =1-0

Venue: Away
Meet: 8.50am
KO:9.30am

A very good match played by the Tigers , not easy to play passing football all the time on a wet pitch, unfortunately our midfielders/forwards  squandered too many chances, often too greedy with the ball,  against a strong and physical opponent you can't do that,and in fact we lost most tackles.
Hopefully the boys will learn from this.

Week 5-Harrow League- 02-11-2014

Match: BPR Tigers - Parkfield A= 5-1( 3 Alex A,George H,Ruben M)

Another very good performance from the Tigers on a wet day, some lovely passing combinations and individual skill;

Week 4- Harrow League-01-11-2014

Match:  Southall Youth A - BPR Tigers=1-6 (3 Rohan P,Alex A,Marley S,George H)

On a sunny day  a nice match of football , the Tigers played really well against  a good solid team!

Tuesday, 21 October 2014

Week 3 -Harrow League-13-12-2014

Match: BPR Tigers- Ruislip Rangers A=2-0( London B, Reece J)

A beautiful day for a very good local derby, a well fought battle between 2 very good sides;

First half quite evenly matched, the Tigers played better than the opponent in the second half, hitting the post twice and creating several clear chances, taking 2 of those in the end.

Saturday, 11 October 2014

Harrow League Week 2-12-10-2014

Venue: Away
Meet: 11.00am
KO:11.45am

 Result: St Josephs A - BPR Tigers =1-4( 2 Jake W, London B, Alex A)

A good match , St Josephs played really  well at the back  containing our efforts (very good GK)and was dangerous on the counter attack, first half ended 0-0. We find ourselves 1-0 down been caught out on a very good  counter attack, and it seemed was not our day, we hit the posts several times, but in the last 12 minutes we broke the deadlock equalising 1-1, St Josephs nearly punished us again on a beautiful solo effort ,luckily for us the ball hit both posts and stayed out,than we finally  found the net;)
The Tigers played well, we need more composure in front of the goal.

Pre-Season- BPR Tigers v Ruislip Rangers A - 28-08-2014

On a very beautiful hot day a lovely game of Football, well played by both teams , with lots of interesting actions, overall a fair results , Ruislip Rangers A very well organised as usual, with nice passing and solid at the back, certainly one of the best team for the forthcoming season.

The Tigers after a poor start  went 2-0 down, but recovered soon with some great individual efforts and some very good passing, a good test before the start of the season.

BPR Tigers- Ruislip Rangers A=3-3( Ruben, London, Jake)

Venue: Home
Meet: 9.50am
KO:10.30am

Pre-Season- Ickenham Youth A- BPR Tigers

Second Pre-Season match

Away - KO: 9.30am
Meet:8.50am

Ickenham Youth A- BPR Tigers =1-2 (London B,Marley R)

On a beautiful Autumn Day a great match of Football between 2 evenly matched sides, Ickenham kids played a very good game, solid in all department with great passing football and skilful play, really impressive!

The Tigers from their part equally played a great match, with 2 sensational goals, one touch football and great finish, the kids also compensate quite well with  James absent at the back, well done boys!

Pre-Season:BPR Tigers U9A v Southall U9A -14-09-2014

First friendly of U9's 7 a side

BPR Tigers v Southall A= 1-0 (Jake W)

Home- 10.30am KO

A very good  game of football, well fought by both teams, Southall A is a lovely team with lots of talent in the squad, they pass the ball very well, balance team ,solid, and clean tackles.

The Tigers played a good and robust game, Jake scored the only goal with a very good shot, we did miss 2 open goals and create several chances.

We had a new kid in the squad , a good prospect for the future, passing was good at times , Reece absent was felt in this  department.

Next Sunday friendly:
Away: BPR Tigers v Ickenham Youth A

Holmer Green Tournament 2014

Great venue, very well organised!
We took 2 BPR Teams(Tigers and Leopards) they both did extremely well;

The Tigers won the Tournament , playing nice passing  football at times, we could not have asked for more!

This time around we took our chances better, and in football who put the ball in the net wins;)

West Drayton Tournament 2014

We took today all 4 BPR U8's teams,well organised Tournament , hot day ,the pitches  a bit uneven.

In the Tigers group one team did not show up, 2 were U7's full of some very interesting and skilful players ,so we played 3 games in our group, played well only 2, in the second match we had to play 5 a side, and the Tigers showed their weaknesses on this format, scoring first but not playing with confidence, West Drayton Explorer ,  a team we have played several time before 6 /7 a side ,  play this format in their Slough League and they really outperformed us,winning deservedly in style!

Finished second in the group;

Quarter final vs  Sandgate(not sure Red or Blue) ,6 a side,  we did a lot better, but  missing clear chances was our problem,  in the last minute of the game we conceded a soft penalty that ended our day.

A good experience for the boys,now a deserved long summer break!

Results:

Group 1

BPR Tigers- TFA Totteridge U7 A=  5-0  ( 3 Morgan B, Alex A,Reece J)

BPR Tigers- Old Isleworthonians U7A= 6-1 (2 Ruben M,Alex A,Reece J,George H,James P)

Ruislip Rangers Tournament-29-06-2014

A great venue for one of the very best Summer Tournament around!
Well done to the organisers!

This was also the first time we played a World Cup Format, with QF, SF, F.

At the Group stages the Tigers played well at times, but too many indecisions defensively and  offensively, and a cronic deficiency at converting  chances cost us not qualifying for the QF, we ended up playing for the Plates as 3rd place in our group,after a good semifinal, same story in the final, unable to convert  many chances, we lost on penalties* at the end against a very good team.

Results:

TFA Totteridge A U7- BPR Tigers=0-0
ST Josephs B- BPR Tigers=0-5( 2 Reece J,2 George H,Ruben M)
Ickenham Youth A- BPR Tigers-1-1(Reece J)
Hayes & Yeading Utd-BPR Tigers=0-0

Semifinal:
St Peter's Iver B-BPR Tigers=0-3(Ruben M,Alex A,Jake W)

Wealdstone Tournament -25-05-2014

Another well run tournament , probably pitches best suited for  a 7 a side, balls a bit hard for U8's kids;

Our Tigers played ok, some good individual skill, they can certainly do better;

We brought 4 teams, and they all performed well  and enjoyed themselves!

Results:

BPR Tigers-Southall Youth A=1-0(George H)
BPR Tigers-Hayes & Yeading Utd A=2-1(Reece J,Rohan P)

Harefield Tournament -17-05-2014

A well organised Tournament, great pitches and very good  Referees, with 4 groups of  U8's, the only hiccup was the  composition of the groups, it is better for all the kids that the groups should be as levelled as possible, all A's team, or A's and B's, but not A's with C's or D's.
Hopefully they will adjust this next year!

Anyway, the Tigers played really well at times.

Results:

BPR Tigers- Langley Hornets A= 2-0(Morgan B, Alex A)
BPR Tigers-Harefield United A=5-0( 2 Jake W, George H, Alex A, Alex G)
BPR Tigers- Ruislip Rangers A= 1-0( George H)

Marlow Tournament 11-05-2014

We played for the first time a Summer Tournament in a stadium, nice venue, pitches a bit heavy after so much rain, well organised ;

The 7 Tigers available on the day battled well, at times great passing football and individual skill, we need to improve awareness/positions on the pitch, overall quite pleased;

Results:

Marlow Royals- BPR Tigers= 1-3 (Reece J, 2 Alex A)
Marlow United Rockets- BPR Tigers=0-9 (4 Alex G, 2 Alex A, 3 Jake W)

Isle of Wight Tournament --03/4-05-2014

What a great week end of football, lovely venues, perfect pitches, and the sun shining!!!
We took 3 BPR teams there:)
It was difficult to assemble a Tiger team (communions etc etc)in the end we had 3 current Tigers, 2 ex Tigers and one Leopard kid, they all performed very well, playing nice passing football, they finished runners-up to another BPR team : the Jaguars( their truly deserved to win)

A nice start of the summer season:

Results as follows:

BPR Lions- BPR Tigers= 0-0
Gunnard Youth- BPR Tigers=0-3( George H, 2 Kai M)
Fishampstead Bulls- BPR Tigers=1-2(Sammy L,Morgan B)
Fishampstead Sharks- BPR Tigers=2-0

Friendly Match- 13-04-2014

Today we played a friendly game v Holtspur FC from the Bucks League, a very nice match of football played very well by both teams, both showing some lovely passing football skill, all the players on the pitch were very good, could not ask for more;

Holtspur FC has great coaches and sporty parents, we look forward to play them again in future;

On the day: BPR Tigers- Holtspur FC= 4-2 ( Alex G, Alex A, 2 George H)

Sunday, 6 April 2014

Week 8 -Harrow League- 06-04-2014

Result: St Josephs A- BPR Tigers=1-6 (Jake W,2 Alex A,2 Reece J,George H)

Another good performance today, with some great passing manoeuvres , against a solid team that created several chances against us which were saved by 2 of our Goalies in the crucial part of the game when we were 1-0 , than an unfortunate deflection for them put us 3-1, like last week  it is easier to play when things go your way and the other team is demoralised, it has happened to us as well;

Week 5-Harrow League- 30-03-2014

Result:

BPR Tigers- Ickenham Youth = 6-1( 4 Jake W,Alex G,Reece J)

In this  match everything went our way, a mistake from a defender and an Own Goal on a great corner from Alex G put us ahead 2-0 in 3 minute of play, from than on it was easier to play ,Ickenham kids were court by surprise and we scored 3 more goals in the first 10 minutes, nice ones a well, the other 3 quarters were evenly matched , the scoreline does not reflect the true potential of YY, they had a superb phase 2 , it was just not their day, anyway, always a pleasure to play them, skilful kids and great coaches!

Saturday, 29 March 2014

Week 10 -Harrow League

A confident display today against a solid team, always in control of the game, overall a good performance by everyone, having back the 2 best defenders helps;)

Result:
BPR Tigers- Parkfield A = 3-0( Ruben, Alex A- Jake W)

We congratulate Kai M for his new adventure with QPR, he's a very talented kid, wishing you all the best!

Saturday, 15 March 2014

Week 9 HL -09-03-2014

Result: BPR Tigers - London Athletic= 2-4 ( Alex G,Alex A)

A nice match of football , unfortunately again without our top defenders, scoreline a bit hard on the Tigers, we created a lot of chances but as usual we squandered them , we need more  composure and a  cool mind;
Better effort that the previous match, poor defending again conceding 3 counter attack, still waiting inputs from some kids.

LA a nice fighting team with some very good individuals, solid in all departments, great defending well coached,  clinical with their chances, they deserved to win!

Week 2 -Harrow League 08-03-2014

 Results: Parkfield A - BPR Tigers= 2-0

Overall not a good performance by the Tigers, missing some top players not an excuse for a poor effort on the competitive side for the game, too many kids watching the game instead than playing it,
and way too greedy with the ball, although  with the game at 0-0 we were denied two 100% penalties by the home referee;
Parkfield kids fought very well and in the end for their effort they deserved the 2 goals  we conceded in  the 4th quarter, poor defending by our players in many circumstances;

Friday, 28 February 2014

Harrow League Phase 2 -week 7

Finally we played our first game of Football in 2014;
A nice match , Southall Youth are  a new team with competent Coaches and enthusiastic and passionate kids, very fair and with talents, they will be very good in future, playing passing football!
Our team played a good match, a bit rusty, we are in a transition period, the team has lost prematurely 2 of the best players  in the Harrow League, and maybe few more in future,  difficult to balance the team with so many different disruptions, the kids need many matches playing together, the weather has disrupted all the plans.

Result: BPR Tigers- Southall Youth - 2-0 ( Alex A, Jake W)

Tuesday, 21 January 2014

Phase 2 Harrow League- 31-01-2011

Due to bad weather we tried  Futsal on Astroturf pitches last w/e, just to give the kids some practise games, it is so different from  Football that there is no point for any considerations;
Let's hope we will be able to play on grass soon.
